slimsfab triumph tunnel for Zack

This is a tank Zack wanted fitted to his 2006 Triumph America.It is a mustang style,however the tunnel ithad wouldnt accept the back bone of his rig.This is how I aproached it,I fabbed a tunnel to fit the back bone and to clear his upper motormount(the tunnel being 2 1/2 inches wide and the motormount fasteners measure 3 1/2 inches wide.)The tunnel looks strange before trimming but fits the backbone well.Then i cut the existing tunnel from the tank and cut and rolled a piece of 16g. to fill the void and closed it up.Now with a clean tank floor I then cut out the tunnel area and trimmed and installed the tunnel itself and welded it,cleaned it up,tabbed it ,and welded a new bung in it.take a look at the pics.
