slimsfab Tank for Kenny

p
This tank I built specifically for Kennys Indian. He found this pair of shovel tanks at the long beach swap and picked em up for a great price.I then split the tanks knocked off all the body filler then worked all the dents and dings out. Then shaved the fill bungs and fitted the tanks together to create one clean tank.I used 14 g.sheet to build a floor then a tunnel with a recessed center to accept the wiring cluster on the back bone of his GILROY INDIAN.I added tabs, a petcock bung, and filler bung. This week I will be posting some stuff Ive been doing the last few weeks to bring my blog up to date...I have been extremely busy at the shop and If I have missed your call I havent forgotten you,Thanks ,SLIM 951 217 8814

slims fab 33 mm really narrow front end for JT

Here is a front end that I fabbed up some SUPER narrow trees for.JT stopped into the farm and dropped off his stock 33 mm boatail front end and asked for it to be sliced and diced.....here it is next to a typical 39mm sporty narrow glide so you can see the true size.I narrow the stock lower tree and fab up the top tree from scratch. Thanks for the work JT, SLIM 951 217 8814

This is Joeys evo rigid. He dropped by the fab farm for a 41mm super narrow front end conversion and ended up leaving with Narrow trees, shaved lower fork legs, some riser less hadlebars,a formfitting rear fender, a modified lowbrow peanut tank. The tank received a late model harley fill bung to give him a variety of caps to choose from and the lower part of the tank was cut where needed to clear the evo rocker boxes then sheetmetal was hammered out to fit then welded in to give it an extra low stance. The tank and fender were then powdercoated saddle brown, ready for pinstripe. between the forks is one of the wheels I sell here at the farm it is a 21 inch by 1.60 aluminum rim from a specific japanese aplication that i machine the hub narrower to give you the super narrow spool look without the super huge fucking price,I use your axle and cut it in the lathe to fit the new wheel to your bike which also saves you from buying pricy bearings!!FUCKIN A!! To me what you ride is an expression that represents you as a FREE AMERICAN,here in AMERICA we do pretty much whatever the hell we wanna do...hell,you do something bad you even get a roof over your head and free meals(in jail).SO if your thinkin of makin your bike more your style, just fuckin do it.SLIM 951 217 8814

This is Kennys Indian. Here you will see a few shots of his bike...The first couple are with fabrication completed, the closeup shot is his southbay style sissy, and the last photo is his Indian the way he brought it to the fab farm.I am going to post along the way photos of each part of this build between other posts. As you can see he wanted a totally different style than the style this bike carried in stock form.I fabbed the tank, strut arrangement, sissy ,trimmed down led sled fender, and seat pan.SLIM 951 217 8814 calling is the best way to get a hold of me.

slimsfab narrow bobs

Rob sent me out these shovel tanks to be narrowed...This is a pic of the tanks narrowed before I welded in the caps.the tanks lose about an inch and a quarter per side.I keep the floors stock so that they still fit over the rocker boxes,it just shows more engine off.Slim 951 217 8814

slimsfab triumph tunnel for Zack

This is a tank Zack wanted fitted to his 2006 Triumph America. It is a mustang style, however the tunnel ithad wouldnt accept the back bone of his rig. This is how I aproached it,I fabbed a tunnel to fit the back bone and to clear his upper motormount(the tunnel being 2 1/2 inches wide and the motormount fasteners measure 3 1/2 inches wide.)The tunnel looks strange before trimming but fits the backbone well. Then i cut the existing tunnel from the tank and cut and rolled a piece of 16g. to fill the void and closed it up.Now with a clean tank floor I then cut out the tunnel area and trimmed and installed the tunnel itself and welded it,cleaned it up,tabbed it ,and welded a new bung in it.take a look at the pics. TODAY YOU ROLLED OUT OF BED OR WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU SLEEP ON A FREE AMERICAN,DONT ACT LIKE IT AINT THE FUCKIN COOLEST THING IN THE WORLD.GO CUT SOME SHIT OFF YOUR BIKE,JUST TRY TO KEEP IT RIDEABLE!
