This is mikes dyna, he brings it through time to time to get a touch more fab as his taste changes! Ive fabbed another sissybar for this bike in the past it had a square stock Triton style one< this particular one he wanted longer and round stock, I use 5/8 inch round torch bent to spec then mounted to flat bar,In the pics you can see the heavy gusseting for strength! He recently put on a Mustang tank on and had Sonny Boy stripe it! NICE touch Mike!! Mike is very involved in puting miles on his ride and is a realist with good taste, all his mods he carefully thinks through before rashley making poor decisions which would sacrifice rideability, thanks for the work Mike, Slim 951 217 8814

I took these pics at David Mann show a few years back,It is The Epitome of badd ass drag bike!I heard the show wasnt that great this year in some peoples eyes,in others it was great! To me a day out on your 2 wheeled rig to see others and their creations all happy to shoot the breeze is the best day ever! I dont frequently get away from the shop(about a year or so) to get to shows,but i do put alot of projects people have started back in working order sooooo.... i guess someone has to do it, that is make alot of bikes get down the road versus me ride all the time!!! This is a 2009 sportster that was just hardtailed here at slims fab farm,also it received a oil bag,upswept pipes and sissy bar! the fender was supplied by Tyler but mounted here at the farm, if you notice the tire is massive when compared to the fender size, He has not yet ordered his shinko double white yet.So i gave him adequate clearance for it. When i do a hardtail here, one of my questions to you is....do you want stretch? That can change alot,such as where the battery will have to be located, and if you will retain your drive belt(if your bike has a belt).When you stretch a bike 2 inches it allows room to mount your battery inboard the frame,with no stretch it has to be mounted on the side(outboard frame).It is also alot easier to convert away from final drive belts,and go to a chain set-up! Chains are alot easier to change sprocket combos for freeway or street use,and for length on stretched bikes.CHAINS REQUIRE MORE MAINTINENCE! so for you guys that dont like to maintain your rig ,keep your fuckin belt! On this rubbermount owned by Tyler he did not want stretch so,we retained stock length and ride height,therefor his stock belt was kept and his battery is side mounted! These are some Bob tanks that Tim had shipped out from baltimore to have narrowed.Overall they are 2 inches and some change more skinny! I keep all the mounts the same and floor the same to preserve the perfect fit on your bike.It makes the fab a little tougher but alot more user friendly! This is a radio flyer that Alex wanted RESTIFIED for his son AIDENs Xmas gift. Alex wanted it to match his sportster( green&clean ) in fact I painted it with the same base and clear that his bike was shot with.There is a pic of the wagon in stock form with my nephew Ethyn getting ready to dissassemble it with me.I built a low slung one inch diameter tube chassis for it, along with a faux drop axle.The repro wheels were paint matched to the body,The body I just hammer and dollied out all the dents,etch primed,poly primed then base and clear coated it. i then laid down mole hair carpet,fabbed him up a bomber seat to his sons specs,attatched it with stainless fasteners(stainless hardware was used throughout the build). it was a fun project" a refresher coarse on FUN " thanks for checking out my blog....SLIM 951 217 8814

Grant of Victory Tattoo called and said I need a tank.. Not your average B.S. something special.It needed to fit in his top triangle of his front triumph loop on his drag bike! I told him send me out a template of the hole in his frame it was to fit in.I then made a jig of his frame that would fit his template,Then I hammered out a tank from strong 16 guage cold rolled steel welded it all up and slammed in some hand made bungs... well it wasnt that easy,but sounded good in print.I went out to his place and stuck it in the frame with him,Thats all FOLKS....Thanks for the work GRANT!!! Here are a pair of ex 5 gallon bobs that belong to Jeff, He brought me some 5 gallon tanks and asked to have em shrunk down.I took @ one and tree eighths inch from each of them reducing their size dramaticly. When this is done I split the tanks and shave the caps away.The inside of the tanks where they mount does not get cut or modified in any way.. Either does the floor where it needs to clear the rocker boxes.Two very important areas to keep away from to keep this process user friendly. the very last thing done is the filler bungs are replaced and the stock style vent tube replaced along with the crossover tube bungs.Thank you for checking out my blog....Slim 951 217 8814

This is a frisco style sporty tank I fabbed,when a tank gets friscoed here I cut the tank apart and put a flat floor in it, roll a new tunnel from 14guage cold rolled, fill the old filler and move it to the crown of the tank,poke the feed bung out the rear left,and weld new tabs on. in case youve never seen the drag trike, Here it is ,powered by a kawasaki three cylinder two stroke, it measures 350 cc and is pretty sketchy at best! it makes alot of power but has a live axle for sweet straight forward riding but not much for a canyon carver, it makes alot of noise, and represents our country by way of total waste....Alot of power, not many good places to use it,ill handling ,poor fuel economy, BUT is a ton of fun to zing around on, much like hot rods, fast boats,and big guns!!! long live the free,SLIM

This is Rubens knucklehead, if you have been on my blog before you saw this a few or more blogs back, the frame was chopped in a way different than most V L bigtwin deals. The bottom of the frame is four fingers low to the ground and is de raked! Ruben is an extremely good builder with an eye for artistic detail different from anyone ive ever come into contact with,we got the honor of doing his framework on the old V L frame to shoehorn the big knuckle in, have a look! This is Ruben you can catch him at the Long beach swap just about every month,he aproached me with his idea and this is how it went down...so this is a vl harley frame,to cram a knuckle in it you would usually fuck up the seat post upper casting by making it thin and weak and relocating the tube that locates the upper motormount up on the front casting for clearance,NOT in this case,Ruben wanted little to nill ground clearace, so we stretched the frame at the seatpost,stretched it in the downtube,swept the rear of the frame up,and stretched the front headcasting 3 inches HOLY SHIT!!! All this gave Ruben Clearance for his knuckle, low slung frame,full sized seatpost casting and fully loaded on style! Ruben narrowed his own forks and is running a 23 spool in front and 21 in the rear! Watch for this one,he is a detail freak and I dig his style!!! This is a project I did for a guy named BIG SCOTT,a cool m/f he is! The frame came to me as a very poorly repaired piece that to the ameture eye would look sufficient,I carefully repaired it where needed (trying not to disturb any of the old weld repairs that helped the look) and finished it with new paint to make it look as if it sat around in a barn for fifty years with little if any weather issues, that was a task if you must imagine! the tank is real(no shit) it is not a repro,yes it hurt when i cut it,Scott asked me to build him a tank with no dash opening up top and thats what he got!(a little his style,a little my style) I first narrowed the tanks 3/4 of an inch per side,to show off his polished UL heads and then shaved the dash and opening at the rear of the tank.(caps were relocated) Please keep in mind the access to the rear tank mount is located at that rear opening, so i fabbed a clean and neat mount under the rear of the tank,also in the pic i am pointing at a round cap that is a cover for a stash spot that is @ 2 inches round by 4 1/2 inches deep,and is accessed by a custom tool I fabbed.These tanks I painted and aged them with my own process,(all laquer).The finish on the tanks is NOT shown in these photos but will be here on the blog soon,as always,Thanks for checking out my blog and dont forget that this day in life only comes once in your life ,enjoy being a free AMERICAN,and dont fucking take it for granted,SLIM

Here are some pics of Ed Foxs vw 3 door transport! we fabricated him a roll cage for his sweet machine,and fixed someone elses attempt at sheetmetal repair.there is also a handle I fabbed to the left of the drivers seat which operates a cooling vent at the rear made for air intake to the turbocharged 2180(of coarse all mechanically operated) The cage is all custom bent by us and is made up of hot rolled 134 wall inch and a half tubing,this took a considerable amount of time to fit properly and clear all the seats and such items that needed to remain removeable without issues for maintinence down the road! This is shot of my friend Chris' shovelhead, motor is fully gone thru, machine work by fast eddie, fully polished Delkron cases, oil pump, rocker boxes, .050 over new pistons and rings, fresh never ran, heads completly rebuilt, new valves, springs guides. motor is completely overhauled inlcudes polished s&s intake, s&s shorty E, and tear drop air cleaner!! new parts. Chris is parting with this because of lower back injury (cant ride bikes anymore), also has rebuilt ans fully polished cowpie 4speed with all primary, chain and clutch parts, tranny is a kicker with hydro clutch, have all bendix starter parts. This is a tank that I re worked for Brent to attatch to his stampede bound honda 750.The tank started life on this very bike it is returning to, a honda cb750,the front was narrowed an inch, the rear narrowed around four inches,the old floor was removed along with the stock tunnel,I fabbed a new floor and tunnel to fit the frame that Keith and Brent built(single backbone ) the cap I moved to the crown of the tank to scavenge all the fuel capacity,and the mounts are super baddass to hold up to the weight of the massive amount of fuel this beast holds!!!In the photo of us is Brent, Keith,Matt, and myself, this pic was taken by Tiffany(Keiths lady)! This is Aarons dyna,we removed the stock style fender and cut off the fender struts.fabbed up a sissy from stout 5/8 cold rolled and installed a plate/light mount,then radioused a 5 inch flat fender to fit the tire properly.Since the seat pan no longer could be mounted to the fender, i fabbed a seatpan that fit better and attatched properly from under the rear of the seat,By the way did i mention that the fender travels with the swingarm so you can get that"just right fit" . Here are some tanks that belong to San Fernando Bob Carillo(known for his beyond meticulous bikes and multi show winning knuckle).I took his 3 gallon bobs and narrowed them an inch and a quarter each side, keeping the floors the same shape (just trimmed)allows them to still fit tight to the rockerboxes like stock! ...and yes upon completion they got filler bungs and petcock bungs welded in. in the photo is a comparison tank to tank so you can see the width difference, the lower side of the tanks were sectioned to ease the process,hope you like the photos, thanks for the biz BOB! , Slim...951 217 8814

This is the new shop, it contains most of our tooling and alot more space than the old shop,the old shop measures a miniscule 7 feet by 13 feet(a bedroom in my home). This is Mike Muzzys 1966 ford falcon club wagon(a passenger econoline) It came into slims fab with major damage on every panel, every wheel lip had to be hammered and dollied(one had to be cut out and replaced),the left rear corner had poor access so it was cut out dollied then re fitted,the drivers side was smashed in at the deepest point 7 inches, that side wascut out and replaced, the hinges on the side cargo doors were torn back from a sideswipe accident which damaged the doors as well s surrounding panels, the door jambs were cut out and replaced as well as the doors.the front face got hammer and dollie treatment,the whole van every inch was then blocked by hand and primed then painted with satin"army man green"mixed by me! The clutch,exauhst,front swaybar bushings were replaced. we gutted the interior and installed a rer seat which leaves access for the slimsfabbed wheel chock, the rear seat is also quick release. the front passenger area is coated in satin black the cargo area is coated in textured black and the floors are bed lined thru out! currently waiting on a few window seals to complete our job, hope you like it muzz it was a fuck load of work( work is what we live for at SLIMSFAB) we as AMERICANS are lucky to have that right!

This is a frame we built for Pat, it doesnt have a stright tube in it, but all curved tubes! If you look close you can see that you fill fuel through the top of the backbone,and it travels to the tank through the frame! This is Gils Sporty, It is a 2005 rubbermount previously owned by me,I just paid a visit to his home in Moreno Valley ,Ca and fabbed and mounted a frisco style 2.2 peanut tank,The tank was narrowed 1 inch, new floor built for it ,An extra wide tunnel for the large diameter back bone that the new sportys are known for, and crowned the cap. The tank holds two gallons.I also fabbed Gil a coil bracket to relocate it to the primary side of the engine cleaning up the space under the fuel tank. This is my dining room, The De Palma bke is finished,The engine was stripped of primary cover,cam cover ,and Rocke boxes, then polished by all American Polishing in Elsinore Ca. and then Harry at Indocycles did the dirty and put that stuff back, the bars that I origionally fabbed for this bike are chromed and back on it in this photo! This is Jeremy Clark, One of the hardest workin Muther fuckers I know! He works as a fabricator and wrench at Ironman. He has been building his pride and joy for quite sometime now, it is a 1965 dodge dart GT, It will be running an extremely high reving potent small block,backed up by this freshly rebuilt(by him)chrysler A833 4 gear,it has an aluminum flywheel custom clutch by Clutchmasters,and is sporting a ford 9 inch with STRANGE internals! IT is a 45 frame K model fork with a sweet powerplant mocked up in it which upon completion will be a 45 magnum ( a 45 lower end with an early sporty top end) For anyone who doesnt know Joe,dont ever race him on the dirt circle,(flat track), unless you want to be fucking humiliated!Well anyways on to fab...The skinny tanks are by me,The oil tak which I gave you a cutopen view has a return line that eturns by the fill cap so you can peer in to double check oil flow before a flogging,and the tanks mimick the WR tanks,by positioning the inlets ,outlets ,and the shape of the tanks overall! enjoy the pics!
